Key Features and Benefits

High Sensitivity to Light

Hindsight utilizes cameras that are the best in the world with respect to light sensitivity. This means that you don’t have to use super bright (and super hot and fragile) lights to get the shutter speed required to stop the action. Hindsight cameras typically require one-tenth the light of other systems. Hindsight’s proprietary light is cool to the touch and is nearly impossible to break.

Long, Continuous Recording Memory

Hindsight is always recording; from the time it is powered up until it is powered down. Recording buffers are measured in hours versus seconds. And Hindsight is full duplexing, meaning that Hindsight is recording even when you are reviewing previously recorded video. Patent Pending ScanBack technology allows users to leverage this capability through a simple, intuitive interface. All of this technology makes Hindsight extremely simple to use. You just point the camera and walk away. After the next jam, scroll back and review the stoppage in slow motion.

Small, Lightweight Camera Heads with Remote Control

Hindsight cameras are small and have remote control capability from the user interface. You can place the cameras in tight positions and adjust the zoom, focus and aperture safely from the operator friendly computer interface.

Pack & Go Event Offload to External Media

Pack & Go allows users to export Hindsight clips for viewing on other Windows-equipped computers. Output can be in PC standard AVI format or in a free share-ware format called Hindsight Lite. Hindsight Lite provides a viewer similar to the Hindsight software providing full playback control options, frame by frame analysis, time stamping and comments. PC standard AVI files can be tailored by the user to email as attachments. Hindsight Lite and AVI files can be copied from Hindsight to USB 2.0 flash memory drives for sharing with other computers.

PLC or External Input for Event Marking

For most applications, operators point the camera and use the long record memory to capture events. No electrical connection to a programmable logic controller (PLC) or other device is required. However, Hindsight does offer the capability to interface to external systems to mark video and store events. Hindsight even offers a wireless trigger unit for this purpose. The system automatically stores thousands of events from PLC outputs or other trigger sources. This process interface can be used in “unattended mode” where the user is not present. The system automatically marks the exact millisecond that a signal was received. When the user returns from other activities, they simply click on any of the event markers and review the cause of the trigger firing. Events can be saved in permanent storage or simply deleted.
